MAINTENANCE MAN NEEDED!


        Columbus Colony Housing is looking for an experienced Maintenance Man / Handyman to work full time for its Westerville, Ohio complex. If you have significant repairs and maintenance experience, we want to talk to you. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Man / Handyman to repair, service and keep all units, common areas and mechanical areas of the facility.

  • Applicant should have American Sign Language skills or the interest to learn basic sign.

Columbus Colony Housing I (CCH I) opened in 1979 and has 106 apartments while Columbus Colony Housing II (CCH II) opened in 2001 and has 49 apartments. The independent living buildings are connected allowing easy access for residents  and provide laundry rooms, a library, craft rooms, and dining room.  The apartments are all designed to be deaf-friendly with strobe light system and staff are either deaf or fluent in American sign language. Residents pay 30% of their annual adjusted income and all utilities are included. All housing inquiries should be directed to CCH I or II between the hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm.



Across the private drive is Columbus Colony Elderly Care (CCEC), a skilled nursing facility which also opened in 1979 with 100 beds. In 1995, 50 more beds were added and finally in 2011, a therapy addition. CCEC accepts Medicare, Medicaid and private payers alike. They also boast a deaf social worker/service coordinator, deaf RN, deaf LPN's, and deaf STNA's. All staff members are required to learn American Sign Language.
